Musings of Maurice D. Perry

ABOUT

Maurice D. Perry is a writer, residential designer, sports fanatic, and lover of common sense. He has a sincere interest in truth, and the suppression thereof, along with its affect on the geopolitical landscape. Most importantly, however, he is a humble servant of Jesus Christ and longs for the world to understand the eternal significance of the work of the cross.

Politically speaking, if a label had to be placed on Maurice, it would be ‘Conservative Constitutional Libertarian’. He considers himself to be the definition of a centrist. He is wholeheartedly concerned about the moral depravity within America – Western culture, in general, while at the same time being concerned about the continued social injustice that still exists. He firmly believes that man reaps what he sows and is personally accountable for his own life. He also strives to live by the ‘golden rule’ – treat everyone the way you want to be treated.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (ESV)
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.

Matthew 7:12 (MSG)
Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them. Add up God’s Law and Prophets and this is what you get.

Graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Architectural Studies, he became skilled in the process of designing physical things (buildings). But it is the building of spiritual things (The Church and Kingdom) that he is most concerned with. Maurice has taken his practical knowledge of how to design highly functional buildings and has applied it to the growth and expansion of the church and the kingdom of God. He published his first book – “Restoring Sanity in the Western Church”. It can be purchased at Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.

Maurice currently lives in Murfreesboro, TN with his lovely wife Ericka, and three beautiful daughters – Zuriel, Nyla and Amena.
