Dispensationalism / Futurism at its Core: HERETICAL

2 Peter 3:16
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

This is the reason why many cannot grasp the significance and timing of Christ’s parousia:

  1. It’s a hard thing to understand when it is taken out of the context of its 1st century borings…
  2. The “unlearned” have a hard time interpreting scripture because they lack the basic fundamentals of comprehension. For example, ‘Who? What? When? Where? Why? and How?’ – when reading scripture, all of these questions must be asked and answered to determine the author, AND the intended audience!
  3. The unstable ones’ interpretation is 100% fear based and creates an atmosphere of schizophrenia, double-mindedness and chaos – once again, taking scripture out of context and misapplying it to their own generation as if the warnings given to THAT 1st CENTURY generation was written to them, literally.
  4. Misunderstanding of eschatology leads to the end, or destruction of one’s overall effectiveness with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Fear, skepticism, unfounded loyalty and escapism begins to replace faith, trust, dominion, moving in power, sound/clear thinking, knowing who we are in Christ, knowing God’s overall will for the nations to come into the Kingdom, and LOVE.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The opposite of being unlearned and unstable is what we see with the Bereans. They were considered more noble than the rest in Thessanolica…

Acts 17:11 (Amplified Bible)
11Now these [Jews] were better disposed and more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they were entirely ready and accepted and welcomed the message [concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal salvation in the kingdom of God] with inclination of mind and eagerness, searching and examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

One of the definitions for “noble” is ‘of an exalted moral or mental character or excellence; lofty: a noble thought.’

It takes nobility to take time to search the scriptures – to take time to understand the root of what we know. Most Christians (western hemisphere) do not know the roots of dispensationalism. They have no clue about who the Jesuit priest, Francisco Ribera was. They don’t understand that he was the one who wrote a series of essays to diffuse the tension that Martin Luther was causing when he labeled the papacy as the Anti-Christ/beast. They don’t know that it was Ribera who wrote that Anti-Christ was a future Mr. Diabolical, just to take the heat off the papacy.

But beyond that, it takes nobility to be able to take scripture at face value, for what it is – A COLLECTION OF LETTERS WRITTEN TO CERTAIN PEOPLE AT A CERTAIN TIME FOR A CERTAIN PURPOSE!!!

We can gleam principles and insights on how God dealt with His people, but those letters WERE NOT written to us. The author of those letters were describing events that were happening, and about to happen imminently!!! It can get NO simpler!!!!

Dispensationalism/ futurism is absolutely demonic and IS TRULY HERETICAL in that its overall message is that Jesus did not finish the job on the cross, and that he has to come back AGAIN to destroy His enemies – AGAIN, absolute nonsense.

When Jesus uttered “IT IS FINISHED”, He wasn’t joking.

Futurists, with their interpretation, takes what Jesus uttered as a joke. They assume that the apostles, Jesus, AND GOD HIMSELF lied about the time of His coming. Remember, Jesus only did and said what He saw the Father do and say.

So, either God is not a man, that can lie, OR, according to dispensational/futurist interpretation, we serve a God that lied – which, by the way, would invalidate the entirety of scripture.

So, what is it going to be? Is God a liar? Or is He TRUTH?

If He’s Truth, then we are confined to believe what Jesus told the disciples was truth, and thus we are confined to believe what the apostles told the churches in their letters TO THEM IN THE 1ST CENTURY was true also.

If not, we serve a false prophet. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
